Beginners Dressmaking with Sue - Thursday PMs - July 2025

Ever wondered how to begin sewing clothes? Come to our sewing expert, Sue's class and learn how to make WEARABLE shorts or skirts on an elastic waistband. Once you get started you won't want to stop.

In this Class you will learn how to make and use a pattern, how to cut fabric correctly, how to sew your pattern pieces together, how to make an elastic channel and insert elastic. 

You can choose skirt or shorts, gender and size.

Workshop Details:

Date: Thursdays in July

Time: 12:30 to 3:30

Cost: $50 individual class, $45 per class if you pay for and book more then 1.

What to Bring:

Sewing machine

Scissors, pins, tape measure, fabric, tracing interfacing, 1” elastic, thread.

Know the waist measurement and the length required - especially if you are making for someone else.

Everything can be purchased in store as necessary

Refreshments, tea and coffee available. Please notify any dietary needs.
